Upload a Banner

By default the banner’s file name is used as the banner name, but you can change it if you wish. Note that the default use of the file name only creates a banner name label, it is not dynamically linked to the banner file being used. If you later swap the banner image for another banner image, the banner name does not change unless you change it manually.

  1. Select an ad unit and go to the Banners tab.

  2. Select +Add another banner.

  3. In the New banner section, select Upload image as the banner type.

  4. Either drag-and-drop a file, select to use your computer’s file picker, or select Select from creative library to choose a banner file that is already in the creative library for this flight’s advertiser.

  5. Optional: Edit the banner name. The width and height fields should automatically populate with the dimensions of the selected banner image.

  6. Enter a URL in Click-through link.

  7. Optional: Add one or more banner tracking pixel URLs.

  8. Save the draft, or save and publish if you are ready to publish.

Add a Third-party Banner

  1. Select an ad unit and go to the Banners tab.

  2. Select +Add another banner.

  3. Select 3rd party banner as the banner type.

  4. Enter a banner name.

  5. Enter the width and height of the banner.

  6. Enter a URL in Click-through link.

  7. Enter the script block for the third-party banner.

  8. Save the draft (or save and publish if you are ready to publish).

Add a Banner for Omny Studio Video Clips

You can present an ad banner to go with an audio ad when your audience plays Omny-hosted video clips. You can do this in a TAP flight that targets your podcast. The Podcast Delivery Network uses the only the first banner in the TAP flight’s creative.

For details on the format of ad banners for video clips, see Creative Supported Formats.

Click-through link is required but not supported

When adding or editing a banner in TAP, you are required to enter Click through link. However, viewers will not be able to click on the banner while they’re watching a video podcast. In this case, just enter your advertiser’s website in Click through link.

Add Multiple Banners

You can add multiple banners to each ad unit. Once you have entered the first one, select +Add another banner to add another. The new one is added to the bottom of the list, so you might have to scroll to see it.

Typically, you add multiple banners when you have banners of different dimensions that are all part of the same ad, and the banners will fill the player placement slots as available. Triton does not recommend adding multiple banners of the same placement dimensions as there is no way to determine which of those banners will be displayed in the player.

Script Blocks

Script blocks can be:

  • HTML

  • JavaScript

  • iFrame

The Triton Creative Manager checks that the code you enter in your script blocks is valid code, but it does not validate any links in the code. It is your responsibility to ensure the quality of the content of your script blocks.

Preview Banners
